How easy it is climbing Mount Kenya, compared to Kilimanjaro depends on mountain terrain and altitude challenges. Basically the altitude of Mount Kilimanjaro 5895 m is higher than Mount Kenya, but Mount Kenya climbing is more challenging. Mount Kenya has an Altitude: 5,199 meter, but has loose cree and rugged volcano peak, making it difficult to summit.

As can be seen, Mount Kenya trekking is more technical when you want to hike high to its two highest summits, named Batian at 5199m and Nelion height 5188 m.  These Kenya summit volcano peaks need technical climbing skills. However, its third summit, Point Lenana 4985m altitude height, is more straightforward and many climbers achieve. As can be seen, Lenana Peak is the most popular peak for hikers as it does not require technical climbing skills. 

As an illustration Mount Kilimanjaro has 6 routes for trekking up to the peak. On the other side, Mount Kenya has 4 main routes to the Point Lenana Peak. The shortest duration to climb Mount Kenya is 5 days on  the Sirimon gate via Sirimon camps to the Lenana Peak. After that, other Kenya routes are Sirimon naromoru 5 days, Sirimon -Chogoria 6 days, and Chogoria-Sirimon 6 days.

Additionally, the price to book Mountain climbing trips on Both Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro are slightly different.
